About the Artist
Anna has always had an affinity for the natural world and its occupants. From an early age, she exhibited a great interest in plants & animals and has always drawn inspiration from them in all her creative outlets. She first touched clay at 5 years old but it would be another 22 years until she seriously picked it up again. She is self-taught and creates her sculptures with the use of a wire armature and a combination of air-dry and polymer clay, raw pigment, & acrylics. She strives to evoke an emotional reaction to each piece and hopes her art inspires people to care more about the other species that we share our World with.
Anna was born in Charlotte, NC and resides in Nashville, TN with her husband, dog, two cats, and scores of plants. She is passionate about animal welfare, the environment, politics, art, & the human experience.
